I will not forget how he always stood in my corner and said as long as he was at the FCC he would see to it that I would not have to worry about anything. I always appreciated his sentiment.

It's been a long time since I practiced before the FCC, but I have not forgotten how much I respected and liked Roy Stewart. He was a friend and it is no surprise that so many remember him with fondness.

Roy made a difference to the entire nation through his stewardship at the FCC. Interested, fair, personable.
Hope he enjoyed his short retirement.

The God who binds up the brokenhearted and comforts all who mourn will sustain your family during this very difficult time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) Please accept my sympathy.

My condolences to Roy's family. I had the pleasure of being with Roy at many state association conventions and NAB conventions. For years we laughed, argued and respected each other. A great guy who often checked with me on what I was going to wear at the conventions!!! Roy will be missed!!!

I will never forget Roy's visits to the Minnesota Broadcasters Association meetings. Always informative, always supportive and always interested to learn more about our Minnesota culture. He will be missed and fondly remembered by many.

Roy was very generous with his time and his knowledge as I started covering the FCC for The AP. I'm sure he made my stories much more understandable to our readers. It is good to encounter such accommodating people.
