Roy Glenn Turman

Roy Glenn Turman, 65, died at his home in Meadows of Dan, on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Judy Branscome Turman; three daughters, Annette T. Turner (David) of Williamsburg, April Turman Bowman of Meadows of Dan and Audra L. Jeppson (Levi) of Meadows of Dan; son, Samuel Roy Turman (Katy) of Ball Ground, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, G. Douglas Turman (Becky) of Meadows of Dan, Gwendola Tilley of Las Lunas, N.M., Raiford G. Turman (Evelyn) of Meadows of Dan, Julian G. Turman (Pearl) of Vesta, and Gonzalee Proffitt (James) of Rockville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Golden and Lillian (Epperson) Turman of Meadows of Dan.
A funeral was held on Oct. 31, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel at 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville. Services will also be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Nelsen Funeral Home at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 until 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m.. Entombment will follow in the Williamsburg Memorial Park.
