Royce Barber Obituary
Born March 3, 1939, Mr. Barber passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Barber; wife, Linda Ellis Barber; brother, Robert Lee Barber; and sister, Charlsie Arthur.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Morris Hatley Barber; three daughters, Laquinn (Ed) Richey, Hartselle, Sheila (Michael) Nelson, Decatur, and Pam Barber, Moulton; stepson, Brian (Patty) Hatley, Montgomery; stepdaughter, Mary Ann (Billy) Thacker, Gadsden; special nephew, Alan (Angela) Barber, Henagar; two sisters, Mary Ruth Russo and Joyce D. Parks, both of Gadsden; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mr. Barber attended Union Hill United Methodist Church. It was his wish that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Union Hill United Methodist Church or to your favorite charity.
Family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the church.

Marilyn, and the Barber family,
I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad ya'll got to come to the Old Fashioned surprise Christmas party at my parents and I will not forget Sonny and I talking about fishing. I know you are going to miss him greatly. My daddy was in shock when I told him. I know you all were too.

Marilyn, and the Barber family,
