Royce was always gracious and handsome in my opinion. I remember how unassuming he was throughout his life and how “down to earth” he remained no matter which accolades Royce received in the medical community. Once, when we visited his mother in Shamrock, my great Aunt Lillie, he seemed so grateful that our family took time to visit and that I braided her long hair. He stayed in contact with our dad, his first cousin, until Dad’s death in 2002. Royce Laycock will be greatly missed on earth.

It is because of men like Uncle Royce that makes me proud to be a Laycock. He will definitely be missed greatly. Norma, we love you and are praying for...
