I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He and Betty were members of Calvary Baptist in Borger for many years. They were wonderful people. I remember so many things about them both, but I will share this one thing about Joe real quick. He gave a few of us church kids $1 to learn the books of the New Testament when I was about 7 years old. He thought we should memorize them and we sure did! One dollar was a big deal for little kids. He was a nurturer of Christianity and a terrific man.
