Ruby L. Baum

Our family lost a very dear friend Saturday afternoon. Ruby L. Baum died peacefully on Oct. 20, 2007, at Magnolia House in Billings. Ruby was born on March 30, 1915, in Laredo, Mo. She witnessed a lot of changes in this world during her 92 years.
Ruby married Dwight Thomas in 1929. They were married until Dwight's death in 1967. She met Robert Baum, a retired Lt. Colonel, and they were married in 1968. Robert died in 1993. Following Robert's death, Ruby moved to Billings, where she enjoyed her retirement at Westpark Village.
Ruby was predeceased by both of her husbands, her parents, four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her adopted family in Billings: Renee Younglund-Davis, Gary Davis, their children Josh, Jeremy, and Maja; and her niece, JoAnn Phillips and husband Bobby.
A memorial service for Ruby will be held in Billings at the chapel at Westpark Village on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in Laredo at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.
