Ruby Beaver Obituary
CHINAGROVE - Ruby Overcash Beaver, 88, of South Kimmons Street, Landis, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Novant Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
Ruby was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Rowan County, the daughter of Joseph Overcash and Rosa Spry Overcash. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in the sheet department. She was a lifelong member of Landis Baptst Church and was active in all phases of the church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, J.C. Barnes and Ralph Beaver; and five brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Gary Barnes and wife Shelby of Kannapolis and Johnny Barnes and wife Kathryn of Landis; one sister, Elizabeth Jane Goodnight of China Grove; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation&Service:Family will receive friends at the Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 p.m., with funeral service to follow in the Northcrest Chapel of the Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The remainder of the time, when the family is not at the funeral home, they will be at the home of a son, Johnny Barnes, 880 South Kimmons Street, Landis, NC.
Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the Beaver family.
