Graveside service for Ruby Tapscott Beggs, 97, of Athens will be today, December 30, 2009, at noon at Roselawn Cemetery with Hal Daigre officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beggs, who died Monday, December 28, 2009, at Limestone Health Facility, was born October 27, 1912, in Morgan County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lewis Beggs; one son, Horace “Shorty” Beggs; and one daughter, Aline Beggs Humphries.
She is survived by her son, Truman Beggs and wife, Betty, of Athens; daughter-in-law, Dot Beggs of Decatur; four grandchildren, Randy Beggs, Larry Beggs, Danny Beggs and Joy Beggs Harbin; and four great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine Beggs, Jake Beggs, Lauren Beggs and Jordan Beggs.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Randy Beggs, Larry Beggs, Jake Beggs and Danny Beggs, and great-nephews, Frank Tapscott and Eddie Tapscott.
