Not sure what to say?

Ruby taught me a love of writing and literature in my senior year at Northgate. She inspired me to follow in her footsteps to Stanford, and later to dedicate my professional life to teaching. missing you red lipstick, Douglas Spalding

Ruby Bernstein was an amazing teacher - always positive, supportive, encouraging, deeply respectful of her students' differing backgrounds and individual needs. The literary works she assigned stirred my imagination, and broadened my vision and my world. I often think of her. As a high school student, she gave me hope and confidence. I feel honored to have known her.

I am sitting with my Aunt Lois Waldman and my dad Les Waldman we are reminiscing about Ruby's strength, fire and laughter. She was an amazing woman and we are all better people for having known her. She will be missed but her presence will remain in our hearts.

Ruby - you were a fantastic teacher! I feel so lucky to have been in your class! -Rich, class of '95

So very sorry for your loss. I know God will help you to endure because he cares for you ( 1Peter 5 : 7 ).

Ruby was a dedicated progressive and worked on Single Payer Health Care and gave her time to the Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club for several years, as well as many other organizations. We are sad that she is no longer lending her energy and intellect to our club.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. It is always hard to lose a love one. May you take solace in the wonderful memories shared. And may God give you peace at this most difficult time now and in the future.
