In 1954, at the age of 22, she married the love of her life, Ralph, who was then and Airman Second Class in the US Air Force. They had two sons and traveled extensively during their military career. After retirement from the Air Force they settled down in Waxhaw. Nell, her husband and son, ran a family business, Carolina Card Entry in Waxhaw from 1980 until retiring in 2002. Dennis Biggers of Matthews, 2 grand daughters; Katie Biggers of Missouri, Lindsay Biggers Houk of California and 1 sister, Irene Dover of Charlotte. Nell was a strong woman, overcoming many health obstacles including cancer. She was a lover of beautiful colors and flowers of nature. She was a superb business woman, a sweet lovely lady, a devoted mother, wife and friend throughout her life. Even when the dreaded disease of Alzheimer's robbed her of the person she once was, she still recognized and responded with a smile to the loving words of her husband and best friend, Ralph. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We thank the staff of Hospice House in Monroe for the tender care she received there.
