Ruby Bishop Obituary
PORTLAND -- Our beloved daughter, Ruby Lucia Bishop, passed away on the evening of July 8, 2011. She was born earlier that afternoon at Mercy Hospital in Portland. Ruby weighed six pounds and eight ounces and was 19 and one quarter inches long. She was given the name Lucia in honor of her great-grandmother, Mary Lucia Hussey MacBride.
Our time with Ruby, though much too brief, left us with a profound appreciation for the love we have for each other, our children and our family and friends.
Ruby is deeply loved, cherished and missed by her parents, Frank and Annie Bishop; her big sister Wilhelmina, her big brother Henry of Portland; her grandparents, Frank Sr. and Barbara Bishop of Presque Isle and Henry and Christine Ingwersen of Kennebunkport; her aunts and uncles, Mariah Ingwersen, Patricia Ingwersen and Marigan Bishop of Portland, Brad and Sara Bishop of Mebane, N.C., and Joseph Bishop of Seoul, South Korea; and her great-grandmothers, Rae Ingwersen of Arundel and Mary MacBride formerly of Presque Isle and currently of Falmouth.
Frank and Annie would like to thank Back Cove Midwives, the Birthplace at Mercy Hospital, All About Women, the pediatric team at Maine Medical Center and Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home for their care and support.
