Ruby Joyce Bowen

Ruby Joyce Bowen, age 75, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in Paradise, CA. Ruby was born on August 26, 1930 in Round Rock, Texas to John and Viola Meinen. She moved from Texas to San Mateo, CA in 1962. She worked for Applied Bio Systems in Foster City for 11 years assembling computer parts. Ruby and her husband moved to Paradise in 1989. She loved to go to garage sales (couldn't pass one up), playing bridge with her many friends, enjoyed the Red Hat Society, and the Elks Wives Club of Paradise, and loved to travel.
She is survived by her loving husband, A. Homer Bowen, two daughters, Becky Bowen of Yuba City, CA, and Debbie Zammit of San Mateo, CA, two sons, Dwiatt Bowen of Novato, CA and David Bowen of Carmichael, CA, seven grandchildren, Carrie Spellings of Paradise, CA, Shawn Bowen of Newark, CA, Tony Spellings of Toms River, NJ, Bryan Bowen and Matthew Bowen of Carmichael, CA, Samantha and Nicole Zammit of San Mateo, CA and three great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2006, 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Pines funeral home.
