Ruby Sue Wilcox Clifton

I am a former student of Ruby Clifton Middle School, arriving there in 1980. I had not received the chance to meet her during her life, but I wish I had. There are not that many people arond today who have schools named after them. May the Almighty Father bless her soul.

My whole life I called her "Nanna".
She was very special to me and I will always love her.

I am currently employed at Clifton Middle School where I have worked for 23 years. Mrs. Clifton visited her school often and was so proud and happy everytime she visited Clifton. She was a grand lady and she will be missed immensely.

I work for Smart Financial CU and started back in 1978 when it was Houston Area Teachers Credit Union. Mrs. Clifton has always been very involved with the credit union members and employees. Over the past couple of years, it has been a real treat for me to see her, as understandably, her visits have not been quite as frequent as in the past. I've always had the upmost respect for her and will miss her.

I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Clifton's passing. I met her when I taught at Clifton Middle School. She was a lovely lady whom I know will be missed by all who knew her.
