Ruby Mae Coe

MANSFIELD: Ruby Mae Coe, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Mansfield Memorial Homes after an extended illness.

Ms. Coe was born on Friday, August 9, 1935 to the late Abraham and Alice (Bronson) Coe Sr. in Lane, South Carolina and had lived in the Mansfield community for the past 64 years. She was a domestic worker retiring after 48 1/2 years of service. Ruby enjoyed attending the Senior Citizen's luncheons and traveling on the bus trips. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends in her home.

Ruby is survived by 2 sisters Ada Henderson and Elnora Rose both of Greensboro, North Carolina; 3 brothers James (Anna) Coe and Abraham Coe both of Mansfield and Harry Coe of New Haven, Connecticut; a Host of Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Coe was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 in the Providence Baptist Church by her cousin, Pastor Alan R. Core. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
