Ruby Mae Dick, age 79, of Somerset, KY passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her residence.
Ruby was born on March 31, 1940 in Somerset, KY to the late Johnny Foster and Mary Abbott Foster. She loved taking care of her flowers. Ruby especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church.
She is survived by five sons, Darrell (and Kathy) Dick of Somerset, Ronnie (and Dinah) Dick of Nancy, KY, Ricky (and Teresa) Dick of Elizabethtown, KY, Jeffrey Dick (and Gary Burchett) of Albany, KY and Jerry (and Karen) Dick of Shopville, KY; two daughters, Sherry (and David) Woodall of Somerset and Sharon (and Darrin) Sears of Somerset, KY; two brothers, Lloyd (and Connie) Foster of Nashville, TN and Roy (and Joyce) Foster of Science Hill, KY; three sisters, Edna Voglesang of OH, Francis (and Bill) Helmburg of Somerset, KY and Betty Jean Moistener of IN; nine grandchildren, Rodney Dick, Nicholas Dick, Waylon Dick, Steven Dick, Amanda Dick, Destiny Howard, Kelli Barker, Danny Sears and Shawn Dick; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Ray “Tooter” Dick, whom she married on September 3, 1957 and he preceded her on February 28, 2012; a son, Johnny Wayne Dick; great-grandson, Logan Thomas Dick; one brother, Bobby Foster; and one brother-in-law, Lee Voglesang.
Visitation for Ruby will be on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 12:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wiles officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Beech Grove Cemetery Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
