Ruby Johnson age 78 of Tiptonville, TN. died Thursday, January 19, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg. Arrangements are entrusted to McCreight Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM-1:55 PM at St. John #2 M. B. Church in Tiptonville, TN 508 Cedar Street Tiptonville, TN. Funeral will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stanley Montgomery. Burial will be held in Citizens' Cemetery in Tiptonville, TN. Serving as Pallbearers, Mark Davidson, Edward Hockett, Cranston Tyler and Michael Bonner.  Survivors; children, LaTaunga Avery of Tiptonville; TN and Endrie (Marcy) Johnson Sr. of Ripley, TN.; one grandson, Elijah Johnson of Ripley, TN, one adopted daughter, Vivian “Bibba” Rogers of Tiptonville, TN; godson, Steven (Kim) Clay of Dyersburg, TN; five adopted grandchildren of Tiptonville, TN; two sisters, Shirley Davidson of Tiptonville, TN, and Martharene Johnson of St. Louis. MO; brother, Johnny Johnson of Elgin, IL.  A very life-long Special Friend, Earnest Talley of Tiptonville, TN; and a host of many, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that loved and cherished her.


Ruby was preceded in her death by her parents, Johnanna (Steed) and Charlie Johnson;  three brothers, Connie Ivory Jr, LV Young and Charles Johnson; sister, Inez Ivory Rogers; and grandchildren Endrie Johnson Jr, and grand dogs, Taco, Paco and Spike.  You may share your memories and condolences with the family at www.mccreightfuneralhome.com.
