The daughters of Ruby Gayle Lawrence are sad to announce the passing of their beloved mother on Friday, May 20, at the age of 88.

Born in Durant, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lawrence was the devoted daughter of Edward and Edith Barton and sister of Elvin and Melvin Barton. She married the love of her life, William Anderson Lawrence (Bill), on March 5, 1955, in Dallas, TX.

Mrs. Lawrence was an avid tennis player and golfer. Both she and her husband were active members of the Forest Hills Country Club in Chesterfield, MO.

Mrs. Lawrence was the founder and president of Broad Assets Investment Club and she also served as President of the St. Louis Better Investing NAIC chapter. She taught investing classes for 20 years and was recently awarded a lifetime achievement award by Better Investing.

Mrs. Lawrence is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth, and her husband, William (Bill). She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Stephanie and Roland Reinholz of Town & Country, MO; D'Ann and Michael White of Tampa, FL; her grandson, Ian White of Tampa; her brother, Melvin Barton of Virginia Beach, VA; and many longtime friends.

We would like to thank mom's many friends, associates, McKnight Place Assisted Living, and ProMedica Hospice for their tremendous care and support.
