Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear of Ruby's passing. I loved it when she would come into the office and share stories of her and Loren. She will be missed.

I saw Rubys obituary in the Salt Lake Tribune and think that we may be related. Sorry for you loss. My name is Dianna Solmonsen Neve. My father was Joseph Solmonsen and my grandmother name was Olga Solmonsen. We lived in Myton, Utah. My uncle John Solmonson spelled his name the same as Ruby with an "o". If you think we might be related, I would love to talk to you about family. I live in West Jordan, Utah and my cell number is 801-906-9099.

One of my earliest memories is of riding my tricycle over to Mr and Mrs Lloyd's house and Mrs. Lloyd giving me a dum-dum sucker. So many of my memories from growing up involved Mrs Lloyd, she always smiled and made me feel welcome and special. I will never forget that about her; I will miss her.

I have so many fond childhood memories, living across the street from Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd. To this day, I refer to them as "Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd". I will never forget them taking four of us neighbor kids to Saratoga for a weekend in their trailer. They made it so fun and special. Mrs. Lloyd always handed out candy to the neighbor kids. They employed me for my first paying job-mowing their lawn. Mrs. Lloyd always kept an immaculate home as well as keeping herself "dressed to the nines". I...

So sorry for your loss. My parents enjoyed spending time with Loren and Ruby
for many years and were great friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Couple things from the obituary that stand out. “Dressed to the nines” this is so true that lady always looked like she was going out on the town. “Laughter was contagious especially when she was telling a story or a joke” I don't think I ever was able to hear one of her jokes from her because she would start laughing so hard and would not be able to continue. We'll miss you Ruby but will always be remembered.

Rusty and Lynette, our families have been so close through the years and we are very sad to hear about the loss of your cute Mom. We remember the weekend at the cabin where we got to know Loren and Ruby. Ruby was a delightful, sweet woman who truly loved her family and we know how much you, Loren and your family will miss her. We love you guys. Our love and prayers are with you.
