So sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. Is was friends with Mattie Boe, Doris Gonsoulin and many others. Ruby was a real gem, always laughing, dancing and cutting up with Charlie. I know you will miss her terribly as she really was the life of the party. My name is Jean Gonsoulin Lugo and my Mother was Doris Gonsoulin. May the Lord give you peace at this time of need.

So many memories, I was just 11 yrs old when we became neighbors. Piano playing always amazed me and so grateful for the 50´s music I grew to love, learned how to play pool and dance. I loved Ruby very much. She Was a wonderful human being. She was the most outgoing person I've ever met in my life. I couldn't have asked for a better Mother In Law. I am heartbroken for Ronald and Dennis. Although they had Ruby in their life for a very long time, you still do not want them to leave this earth. They were many great times with the family I will always treasure. Rest in peace and I know you will always watch over your family!

Ms. Ruby..my heart is broken! I will always remember you playing the piano on Wilson Street. All the parties, all the great times. I would often come to you, when I was a teenager with questions about life and you were always there for me and always answered honestly. You were a loving 2nd "MOM" to me, and I will always cherish that. I will surely miss you. You are always in my heart.
