Sister Ruby Marie Davis Nash departed this life on June 8, 2009 at 10:20 a.m. in her home. She was born to the union of John Henry Davis and Annie Mae Collins Davis on February 26, 1938 in Kimbro, Texas. Sis. Ruby Marie Nash was the first child of seventeen children. She was married to Hiawatha Nash, Jr. for forty-eight years. She attended public school in Kimbro, Texas. Sis. Nash was employed at Travis State School and was also an associate with Nash's Wrecker Service for thirteen years. She was a fire fighter with the Manor Volunteer Fire Department for thirteen years.Sis. Nash was baptized by Rev. J. D. Cleveland at an early age and became a deaconess of Saint Paul Baptist Church in Kimbro, Texas serving for forty-seven years. She remained a faithful member until her death.She was preceded in death by her husband Hiawatha Nash, Jr., mother Annie Mae Davis, father John Henry Davis, Sr., nine sons, two daughters, one brother and one sister.Sis. Ruby Marie Nash leaves to cherish her home going two daughters, Alma Jean Nash and Fannie Louise Nash, both of Manor, Texas; four grandchildren, Hiawatha Deran Nash, Bishop Bright Nash Greenwood, Rhonda LaVerne Williams all of Manor, Texas and Christopher Jerome Nash Keeler, Sr. of Lovington, New Mexico; four great grandchildren, Terran Williams, Christopher Keeler, Jr., Matthews Keler and Isiah Keeper; six sisters, Pauline, Marilyn, Beverly Davis all of Manor, Texas, Debrah and Annie Davis, both of Austin, Texas and Osia Faye Nash of Austin, Texas; six brothers, Melvin "Butch" (Wanda), Michael "Pete" (Connie) Davis all of Manor, Texas, Milton "Sonny" (Rachael), James "Stone" (Connie Mae), Kenneth "Big Daddy", and Ronnie "Roach", all of Austin, Texas; one aunt, Chester Lee Coleman of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
