Ruby Norris is the grandmother of my nieces and nephew. My heart goes out to each of you with the loss of your precious mother and grandmother.

I will never ever forget after the death of my daughter Carrie Beth in 2004, I was staying at my daughter's home helping with her children. My daughter lived in Sanger and even though I hadn't seen Ruby for several years, she drove all the way to Sanger and brought the family a chocolate pie! Just a simple chocolate...

My grandmother was a great woman way ahead of her time. She held a job, raised her children, her grandchildren, and then great grandchildren all while keeping her house immaculate. She welcomed many family members into her home over the years even when space was limited. She helped many many people in our community over the years. She enjoyed giving to those less fortunate even when it meant doing without herself. I will miss her kindness, her silliness, her warmth, her ability to know...

Yes Ruby was a dedicated woman of God, I remember here fondly from my teen years at Calvary Baptist on Saginaw, just outside of Caruthers. She was a Blessing to me. My prayers are with the family and this time.
