Joan & I will miss my Mother very much. She was a very special person. Because we lived so far from Mom, it made it difficult for us to visit her as often as we would have liked. Joan and I enjoyed her visits to Cincinnati. Mom especially enjoyed visiting her sister Esther and going out to pick apples. My brother,sister and I appreciate all the condolences from her many friends. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

I will miss Grandma Riemar. Though I have not been able to see her much due to the long distance between us, I thought of her and prayed for her often. My fondest memories are of her and Grandpa Traveling. They loved their Avion Trailer. As a child I would get great joy out of watching slides and hearing about their latest adventure. I also remember that she was always doing something with her hands. I treasure 2 afgans that she made and gave to me.

Ruby and Paul Riemar were very close friends of our parents. They are all gone now but we are grateful for the good homes and nurturing that they provided.

Farewell to one of my favorite cousins. My mother really adored Ruby and named a daughter after her - her sister Lily's child.

Mother had lived 95 glorious years. She continued in independent living environment until 4:00 am on Jan 1, 2003. She was able to walk to lunch each day, and continued to make her own breakfast and evening meals. She looked forward to each day, and being able to work the many picture puzzles in the community center. When we would visit with her, you could always find her working puzzles with others at the care center. She was having more difficult in these later years with her speech,...
