Tonia Ann Locke, 55, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Salem, Utah. Tonia was born on March 12, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Shirley and Robin Locke. Tonia was a beautiful strong pure ray of light.
Tonia brought warmth and kindness to those around her throughout her life. She was pure sunshine and full of kindness.
Tonia found joy and fulfillment in her work at TJ Maxx, where she was known for her dedication and friendly spirit to those she came in contact with.
Her passion for animals was evident from a young age and remained a constant source of happiness throughout her life. Tonia’s deep affection for animals reflected the gentle and compassionate nature that endeared her to so many.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Tonia’s faith was an important part of her life and provided strength and comfort through all seasons. Her testimony of the Savior and of eternal families was a way she loved and served those around her.
Tonia is survived by her Mother, Shirley Porschatis; Sisters: Trisha Montgomery and her Twin Sister Teresa Pond (Randy); Brother Paul Montgomery (Ronica); Her three children: Darcy Whittle Peterson (Russell); Kaiden Whittle and Karlie Whittle. Four Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cashton, Lily and Kaiden Jr.
Tonia is preceded in death by Robin Locke and Donald Porschatis.
Tonia’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her love for animals, dedication to work, and enduring faith continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace in the knowledge of the Savior's love and the promise that families can be together forever and we are not alone.
