Sorry for your loss, may God comfort you and your family during this time of sorrow.

Grandma Rose was a beautiful person she was the caretaker of my daughter, nieces, and nephews almost 30 years ago. She will be remembered and greatly missed. The time she took out for the kids and for the spirit that she had in her will never be forgotten. Enjoy your new home Sister Rose the memories you left us with will forever be remembered. To God be the Glory!

Where do I begin? Sister Rose, as I have affectionately and reverently always called her all my life, has always been a Woman of God, a Mother of Zion, a Handmaiden of the Lord a Preacher/Teacher of God's Word. I smile as I think of the impact she made on my life as a child and especially after I came to Christ. We used to do what we called the "Holy Ghost Fist Bump" and we would greet each other in church. Before I went up to the choir loft, she'd say to me, "Now, you go flirt with that organ! Go flirt, now!" with a smile. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Mother Rose.

Rev Rose always preached that she was a dancer before coming to the Lord. After she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, she said she didn't stop dancing, she just changed partners. I am sure she entered Heaven's gate wide open and dancing for God. I will cherish those many late night phone conversations that we shared. Rev Rose fought a good fight and has won the victory and now is resting with the Lord.

Not sure I can handle another death or funeral right now -- I was a young boy around 12 or 13 and one Sunday while sitting on the last pew at Mt Hebron Baptist Church -- This woman with the poof and the loud voice - walked past me in church when she heard I knew how to bang (I could only keep time) the drums she dragged me to the front of church and told me to play. Well a few months later -- she found me playing 4 chords on the piano after rehearsal. ( I could only play lean on me with...
