I just learned recently that Ruby passed away. I was so sad to see her empty room at The Gardens when I visited my mother. I always loved to see her sweet face and her smile. She always asked me when Janet was coming...I always assured her that Janet would be there right after work. And she always was. I will miss seeing Ruby, but I am glad to know that she is home now.

Ruby was such a great lady. I am so sorry to hear that she has passed but glad to know she is at peace. I hadn't seen Ruby in 13 years since we lived next door to her. She loved my kids as we loved her. I was out at the cemetery visiting my mom and had seen that Ruby had recently passed because I had noticed the flowers. To Jan and Jane,
I will think of your mom often. I'll never forget her sitting down beside me..saying "I'm lost. Maybe I should call my house and see if I answer." She said it with a smile and little giggle. I also remember trying to engage her in a paper-cutting activity to occupy her as I had done many times, and her response was "No, I don't believe I'll do that today," and it was said with such finesse that I was taken aback - she really shut me down!
