It comes as a SHOCK to me that one of my Favorite teachers has passed on...The Jess Lanier / Bessemer School System has been Hurt to the core of their hearts to know that we've lost 2 of our fine teachers! R.I.P. The Washington Family.

My heart goes out to the family and we will continue to pray for everybody. I was a little afraid when I first took her class because she was know for excellent. I thank God that she instilled in us to be your best. I had the pleasure of being among one of the best TEACHER for class of 1983.

I would like to make a correction to my entry. It should read: I am saddened by the passing of one of my favorite teachers. "I am very fortunate that Mrs Sanders touched my life as an educator and great example." I will always remember her for her style, class, sophistication and elegance. She believed in me, when i didn't believe in myself. May she rest in eternal peace.

I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Sanders passing. She was a "Lovely Inspiration" in my life. I was very fortunate to have her as a teacher. She believed in me when I did not believe in myself. May she Rest in Peace. JLHS Class of 1979.
