Ruby M. Styles

When I think about Mrs. Styles, one word dominates all others in my mind – joy. I cannot picture her without a smile, small and quiet or wide and jubilant. She loved life and her family and never hesitate to show that love.

To Andrea and all the family – I hope you all carry that smile in your heart, even at a sorrowful time like this. You are in my thoughts.

Sandra, Eric and Andrea, Having Ruby as our housemother her first year, and me living right next door, we became fast friends! I showed her the range of "tomfoolery" including sneaking out cookies before her weekly tea. Her answer to all our energies, was to offer tap dancing. We placed thumbtacks on our sturdy browns to adapt them. Wasn't she brilliant on the piano too. She always sat with me during the class of 69 reunions, and I loved her very much. She was always keeping me apprised...

Sandra, Eric and Andrea: I fondly remember Nana and her wonderful personality, wit and charm. But most of all, I remember her expertise at the piano---she was such fun to be around---always so full of life. She led a long and good life and made many, many lasting friendships and will not be forgotten by anyone who met her. I'm sure she is entertaining everyone in heaven! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.
