Not sure what to say?

Please accept our belated but dearest sympathy over the loss of our longtime neighbor and friend, Ruby. Her family was one of the pillars of our Lower Nine neighborhood. Ruby, along with her brother, Dr. Edward Caliste, were also UNO collegues.

We will miss her but will be cherised by her memories.

Inez and Raphael Cassimere jr.

To The Caliste Family: May God give each of you strength and comfort. Growing up on Caffin Avenue with so many caring neighbors mean so much to us. We were so Bless to know Ms. Ruby, and with her stern direction that kept us on the right path. She would always stress education. It does take a village to instill productive lives.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Ms. Sumler, was a crusader and trailblazer for a good cause. She was very instrumental in my life and will be missed in our community.

Sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one. I enjoyed Ruby's company.
