Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the Cold War Museum Board of Directors, our deepest condolences and sympathy to family and friends of Bess Tejeda Bergmann. She was always very supportive of our efforts to preserve Cold War history and honor Cold War veterans and was an inspiration to me in my efforts to establish the Cold War Museum.

Bess will always be with us. The RB-50 Family members will continue our search for the truth in her memory.

On behalf of all the men and women of the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing Association, I offer our deepest sympathy to all of Bess's family in your hour of sorrow.

Bess Tejeda Bergmann was a grand lady of the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Association. Her first husband, Major Francisco "Frisky" Tejeda, was installed posthumously in the 55th Wing Hall of Fame in 2004 at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. He lost his life in the Cold War when the USSR shot down a USAF RB-50 aircraft off-shore from Vladivostock July 29, 1953. Aircraft Commander Stan O'Kelley was also a fatality in that shootdown. Stan's widow Jean and Bess were life-long friends.
