Ruby Helen Teckenbrock

Ruby Helen Teckenbrock, age 93, of Avon, Indiana, formerly of Brown County, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. Born August 23, 1931 in Brown County, she was the daughter of Virgil Roscoe and Rebecca (Woods) Floyd. Ruby had worked as an Assistant Teacher's Aide for the Columbus Boys and Girls Club. Ruby enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, reading and watching westerns on television.

Ruby is survived by her three daughters, Sharon K. (Curtis) Juhlin, of Avon, Indiana, Joyce A. (Donald) Wilson, of Avon and Mary Jane McCarthy, of Henderson, Kentucky, one sister, Phyllis Westerfield, of Columbus, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill and Keith Floyd and two sisters, Betty Bannwart and Mary Floyd.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home; 1682 St. Rd 135 North. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Duncan Cemetery Association.
