Ruby Pearl Tinker

Ruby Pearl Tinker, aged 83, passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2026. Born on June 17, 1942, to Violet and Ale Treadway.

Ruby was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Smith (Rob) of East End; sons, Benny Smith (Debra) of Cabot and Sean Smith (Jazz) of Furlough; and sisters, Betty Miller of California and Kathy Treadway of Cabot. Her legacy continues to shine brightly through her three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, who will always remember their beloved grandmother Ruby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Ale Treadway.

Ruby was a proud alumna of DeValls Bluff Schools, where she graduated 12th grade. A nature enthusiast, Ruby found great joy in tending to her raised flower beds, often quipping, "Jim will build them and I will fill them." Her love for the outdoors was only matched by her passion for nurturing her family and making her home a welcoming haven for all who crossed its threshold.

Ruby's compassionate spirit and zest for life were truly inspiring. She was a beacon of strength and resilience, always ready with a comforting word or a warm embrace. Her laughter will echo in the hearts of her loved ones, reminding them of the joy she brought into their lives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, at Bob Neal and Sons/Garth Funeral Home Chapel of Des Arc at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate Ruby's life.
