Ruby J. Upshaw

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Upshaw family. My life was forever changed when I met Mother Ruby's son Mike while we were stationed in Germany. While we were both home on leave, I traveled from N.J. to Philly to meet Mother Upshaw. What a jewel of woman. She received me with such a genuine kindness, making me feel as though I was one of her own. I know that she will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on in her family and neighborhood that she loved so dearly.

Mother Upshaw As I Knew Her As, Was The Epitome Of Love/Class/Grace/Angelic Presence And That Laugh/Smile Was Pure Joy.

I Still To This Day Remember And Feel The Kindred Spirit She Presented To Me When I Showed Up At Her Home Many Years Ago With Michael From VA. As A College Student.

Each And Every Time She Made Me Feel Loved And That I Belonged. For That I Have And ALWAYS Will Be Humbled/Grateful.
