I will always remember her strong and encouraging words to most of my brothers/sisters and to me. While in college, she gave me a job in the summers at the YWCA. She was a strong and effective voice in the West Greenville community. She was a great and loving lady. I also believe that she was a "family" woman. She believed in keeping the family...

For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will...

Karen and Kim,
The first time I encountered Mrs. Jones was in cotillion practice at Bernie street YMCA in 1977- I can remember asking someone "who is that lady?". Well needless to say, watching how she carried herself made a strong positive impact on me as a young black girl, without her even knowing me at the time. I know there are many others from age 4 to 60+ that could say the same- what a truly phenomenal women. Petra

Karen, the sadness of the passing of your loved one is felt by many. It is so hard to let someone go who means so much to so many people. May the thought of knowing that friends share in your sadness be of comfort to you.
