I will always remember her playful spirit and happiness. I'm sure she's singing in the heavenly choir! Grateful thanks to Peggy and Sarah for taking such good care of her in her last years.

Aunt Rubye, as she was always known to me, was a very kind and sweet woman all the years I knew her. She and Hugh looked after me when my mother (Hugh's sister) and father went out of town. Rubye and Hugh were always close family as I grew up. Played golf with her brother, Tommy, in Little Rock and he was always fun and a gentleman. She was always making pies and goodies as Hugh painted or worked on projects.
I miss Hugh and I will miss Rubye. Her lovliness and sweetness will live on.

Aunt Rubye will always have a special place in our hearts. Peggy and I have been on a very emotional ride over the last few years, but it is a ride we would gladly take again. We thank God for allowing us to share the last few years of her life. A wonderful person, a beautiful lady and a outstanding Aunt.

Rubye was an incredible aunt. I think what would mean most to her is being reunited with Hugh. They loved each other so much. I always loved to story of how they met. Both are in a better place with each other now.

It is never too late to say "Thank you", so, to Rubye, your kindness and humor were at the same time, most remarkable and unforgettable.

Aunt Rubye was a dear sweet lady who always had a smile and a chuckle for me. I will always appreciate her and the love she showed to my Uncle Hugh.

Rubye was as smart as a whip, and about as kind a person as you'd ever hope to meet. The world is a better place for having been touched by her.
