Not sure what to say?

We are heartbroken to just hear of the passing of Rudy Herz. He & Ursula have kept our garden beautiful for many years. Rudy & Jean-Pascal (my husband) spoke often of politics, aviation & life in the U.S. & Europe where J.-P. was raised. We will miss his wonderful kindness & sense of humor. Our fondest regards w/sadness to his family that he spoke to us often about. Sometimes in life, someone comes along & makes a lasting memory in your heart-that will be "Rudy" w/us. Linda &...

I reside on Plantation Rd in the Cimerron Plantation subdivison--- since retiring from the U.S. Air Force in April 1984. In June 1984, my youngest son Troy graduated from nearby Socastee High School with Rudy's son Rafael. I too waved at Rudy and Ursala from time to time. I got up close and personal several years ago when I bought some honey from Rudy. Yeah, there are folks who knew Rudy as a result of the bees swarming in the neighborhood.Gott segne Sie vom Leben zum Tod!

As a child, I was blessed to get to know you through my grandparents, Mary and Howard Bradley. I will always remember Rudy's love for nature and all things living. We are sad to hear of Rudy's passing. I know you will all miss him. He was so very blessed to have such a loving family. I will always remember that no matter how busy things were, you were always able to count on Ruby to have a friendly smile or wave. We will all miss Rudy! Christy Brown (Pat's daughter from Fuquay-Varina, NC)

I was very sad to hear of Rudy's passing and as I am a neighbor on Plantation Rd. and pass Rudy's home and business almost every day I will surely miss his friendly wave to me and also each time he and his wife Ursula passed my house in their white pick-up. He will be truly missed.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to his wife Ursula and his entire family for their loss. Shalom!

This is the message we sent out to all the members of the Advisory Board, past and present. I am proud to have known him.

Rudy Herz passed away two weeks ago. Rudy was a Holocaust survivor who settled in Myrtle Beach, a founding member of the Yaschik/Arnold Jewish Studies Program Advisory Board, and a regular presenter to Ted's Holocaust classes. His lengthy interview about his experiences in Auschwitz and Dachau showed the importance of Holocaust education. It also raised...

I was sadden to hear of Mr. Herz passing. He was a gentle and kind man. I will always remember him and HIS story. Whenever he came into my office, he always looked around to see if I was there, and made sure he spoke. Thank you Mr. Herz for being the kind person you were. I will truly miss you at Horry Electric. Thanks for being a good friend. My sympathy to the family.

I am devastated. One of my best friends. He was one of the most intelligent and honorable men I have ever known. A piece of me has died with his departure.

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. We have heard many wonderful stories from Chantal about her Father, and we extend our deepest sympathies to your entire family. Jennifer, Gerard, and Madeleine Kelly

Thank you Rudy!
