Not sure what to say?

Rudy was a great American. I knew him since 2000. Basic training, AIT, Invasion of Iraq '03, I was at his wedding. He was my best friend. I would like to tell him about today. He would have been a huge fan of Donald John Trump. I knew him well. I miss him.

In Memory of Rudy ~ (Debra Estep)

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you...

Jennifer, I was the person that enlisted Rudy into the California National Guard. I tried my hardest to get him into recruiting but Rudy wanted to be a scout and do all the fun things. We were both single parents and used to talk about bieng a single father at that time. He was a great guy and a very squared away soldier. I was in the central valley when I heard about Rudy and my heart goes out ot you and his family.

You are remembered and respected. Thank you Sgt Salcido!

I served with SFC Rudy Salcido as part of Task Force California (Operation Katrina Relief) in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Gulf Coast in 2005. He was a great NCO and soldier. I was honored to know and serve with him during Operation Katrina Relief/Operation Gulf Coast Relief.
