After graduating from Brackenridge High School of San Antonio in 1947, Rudy joined the Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954. After his discharge, Rudy returned to San Antonio to complete his schooling, graduating from St. Mary's University with a degree in Business Administration in 1957. Not sure what to say?

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love...

Yolanda,I was truly sorry to hear about Rudy. I didn't see you often but was always happy to see you both. May God grant you and your family peace.

October 2005

He was a wonderful man who was dearly loved. We will miss him. We know that he is smiling at you from above. May God bless him.

I enjoyed visiting with him at last summer's family reunion. His love of his family was so strong.

Papa Rudy was truly a generous, kind and loving example of a fine man - not just to his own family but to ours as well. We are blessed to have known him and will also hold him in our hearts. Please know that we too feel your loss.
With love, Twinkle, Paul Todd & Scott Gosselink

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I had the pleasure of working for Rudy A. Garza in the mid 1980's and I have very found memories...
San Antonio and Bexar County lost a STATESMAN....

I know my mother, Nena, was always so proud of her "little brother" and that the two of them are once again together forever. I'm so happy that he was able to attend our last Garza Cousins Reunion last summer, if even for a short time. It was a special time to see him enjoying his extended family. May you all have peace knowing he is now enjoying the fruits of his good deeds, hard work, and faith. Until we meet again, Uncle Rudy. His nephew, Gary.

I know my mother always was so proud of her "little brother" and that now the two of them are together once again. May you all have the peace of knowing he is enjoying the fruits of his good works while he was with his here. He was a good man and I will miss him.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers with you and your entire family at this difficult time. Gods peace you.

Always Mary Angie Garcia
