May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. We shall miss him. Friends and acquaintances at 2075 Sheppard Ave E. -Tim Hortons

As much as I wanted to be there tonight or tomorrow I have developed a bad cough and didn´t want to pass it on. Rudy was a great person and teacher and hopefully these screenshots of posts from his past students on one of our Sir John A Facebook pages will tell how much he was appreciated. God bless his family during this difficult time and journey.

Worked with Rudy many years. A fine man and always the best dressed male on staff

Praying for the family as you walk this road of missing Rudy, celebrating his life, legacy and that he is with the Lord. Rudy was one of the LIT leaders in 1976. He was an example of kindness, faith, and servant leadership. His example of faith and life lived well helped me in my journey at a young age. It was a joy to reconnect years later at OPC as he served in summer support staff roles and work weekends. LeaAnne Zielonko OPC Girls Camp Director

My deepest sympathy to you Velma and Ryan and Becky. Rudy was such a vibrant man. So full of energy and life. He was incredibly encouraging. When I worked at Pioneer and was unsure of myself he would show up unannounced and we would have a wee chat and I would come away feeling encouraged and seen. His life was full and wonderful and the Father is smiling on him now.

I met Rudy through his wonderful daughter, Becky. She would always talk about her Dad with fondness, and he was often helping her with various things. I know this kind of father-daughter bond, this relationship. I have the same with my Dad, so I know it's special. It made me so happy to see another woman in the world shaped into a strong, capable, ambitious and kind individual with a supportive father always there to guide her. I admired that they sailed together, talked business, went to...

Velma, my prayers are with you and your family as you process this loss. Heaven has welcomed another faithful servant. I met Rudy when I started my career at Sir John A Macdonald in 1975. We sponsored the ISCF group together until he transferred to Midland CI. He was a great mentor and friend. Wish I could be there with you to celebrate his life.

I was just notified today, Velma of yiur unspeakable sudden loss if dear Rudi. Please know my thoughts and prayers and live surround you and family at this time. Jane Anne

To Velma and Family, I just learned today, (from Ernie & Elly Dyck), that Rudy has passed away. I am very sorry for your loss. I knew you from Spring Garden Church many years ago. Rudy and you were always so friendly and kind to my young son John and myself back then. I even recall being invited to your home in the Bridlewood area, just around the corner and down the street from where I grew up and how Rudy had taught at the high school I went to. Years later I discovered you knew the Dycks...
