I had the pleasure of getting to know Rudy when I leased space to Pizanos in the South Loop. He had an infectious personality, and a passion for life, the restaurant business, and of course the air and water shows that was immeasurable. I loved working with him. He has left a tremendous impact and will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Rudy was a kind gentleman who made everyone feel welcome at special events or in his restaurants. He was an Ambassador for the city of Chicago who worked diligently to showcase our great city. He was a Chicago Original. Rest In Peace, Rudy Barney Flanagan - Retired - Assistant Deputy Supt. Chicago Police Dep't.

RIP My friend you where always good to me. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I played softball for many years at Lake Shore Park and then he sponsored our team from Pizano's when it was on State street. He was always generous and kind to us, Rudy was a great person who will be missed.

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains. Rudy will be remembered at the next Police Mass. In the meantime, may family and friends know the healing touch of our all-loving, all-merciful God! [Police Chaplains Ministry: www.ChicagoPCM.org or 312/738-7588]
