Not sure what to say?

Hi Rudy,
Tomorrow is your birthday and we were thinking about you tonight. John & I went to a new restaurant, we thought about how you would have liked to have one of the menus, how unusual to collect menus. Just thinking about you on your birthday, we love and miss you.
Love, Jane & John

My Father

My Father… The Barber… He so loved his work.

My Father… The Patient… He was so much stronger than many may have thought.

My Father… The Friend… No one more loyal than he.

My Father… The Family man… He so loved each and every one of you.

My Father… The Dad… He taught us honesty, strength, good morals and to follow God.

My Father… The Grandpa… WOW!!!! What more can I say.

My Father… The Husband… There is...

Rudy Marencik – A Eulogy

For those of us here who are family, the past few months or longer, have been a difficult time. And it would be unnatural not to look back and be somewhat reflective. When we think of my father and try to understand who he was and what he meant, at first glance the picture is deceiving simple. He was a husband and father, a grandfather and businessman. But then you think harder, and you realize, no - he was more than that. He was an ingredient in the...

Dear Pat.

When you called me and told me my boyfriend past away, my heart was broken. Rudy was always there to help with my health needs. On different occasions when it was necessary for us to drive somewhere, you would ask me to ride with Rudy. He would smile and put my wheelchair in the car off we would go. Later, you two gave me his Toyota. Rudy's conversations would always end by telling me about how you two met, how much he loved you, his children, and grandchildren. He...

Dear Pat & Rudy:
(And I know you can hear me, Rudy).
I'm so sorry I never got up to Simi to visit with you at your home. It was always so nice to see you and we had such good times. I am very happy that we got to visit when I came to California the last time, even tho it was to say goodbye to Mary Ellen. I will keep in touch with Pat and try to keep her in line.

Love, Barbara

Grandpa I will always miss all the good times we had together. You would always go to the movies with me eventhough they were stupid kid movies, horseback riding, all the ice cream we ate together. You were my best friend. I know that someday I will see you again. I love you.
Love,
Jenn

Rudy was a very special man and we enjoyed all the times we were able to spend with him.

We especially remember the trip that Rudy made to Arizona and how he loved the trip to Tombstone.

We are very Blessed to have know a man like him.

Always honest and straightforward; genuinely satisfied with his life; and truly devoted to God, Rudy was an admirable man and exemplary Godfather. I feel lucky to have known him and will miss his special way. Rudy will be in my heart and in my prayers, always.

It seems just yesterday we graduated together from Holy Trinity Catholic Grade School in Gary, In. and shot baskets at the CYO . Greatest hook-shot in the league. Old friend , I trust the good Lord is holding you in the palm of his hand.
