RUDY T. MISQUEZ, age 71, of Las Cruces passed away Friday, March 5, 2021. Born to Ernesto and Christina Misquez on January 29, 1950. He worked at K-Mart as a manager of the Shoe Department for 20 years and was also a Bail bondman for 4 years.


Survivors include two son, Alejandro “Alex” Misquez of Denver, CO., and Juan Misquez (Alicia) of Las Cruces; five granddaughters; two grandsons; two sisters, Connie Ferrales of Tortugas and Gloria Misquez of Las Cruces; sister-in-law, Lencha Misquez as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest Misquez Jr., and nephew, Ernest Misquez III.


Visitation for the Rudy will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday, (today) March 10, 2021 at Baca’s Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10 AM at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately thereafter with the Reverend Ruben Romero Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 100 N. Espina Street where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.


Serving as casket bearers will be Ismael Aleman, Ismael Misquez, Tommy Misquez, Diego Medrano, David Soto and Gerald Sanchez.

Rudy was my first manager at k-mart. I ended up working for K-mart for 30 years. As a young man , working his first job, I could not have asked for a better Manager. He will be missed.
