I was saddened to hear of Rudy's passing and offer his family my heart felt condolences. I have fond memories of Rudy visiting me at Presby while I was awaiting a heart transplant 17 years ago. He freely shared his own experience with me and provided a calming reassurance at a difficult and uncertain time in my life. I owe a debt of gratitude to Rudy for making such a positive difference in my life, and to the life of countless other patients who were equally touched by his spirit.
