Rudy H. Moreno

1971 thru 75...Coach Moreno Rest in Peace....Class of 75

Rudy was one of my very best friends. We went through good times and hard times together. We had a comaraderie that few people have experienced. Especially through our teaching, coaching and time just enjoying life. Our fishing trips to Baja were always an adventure. He will always be remembered as easy going and having a big heart. Rudy will be missed but never forgotten!

Mr Moreno was a great teacher and solid human. Even though I haven’t seen him or his family in years I remember them fondly. I respected Mr Moreno. My deepest condolences to those he left behind.

Mr Moreno made a lasting impression on me . He was a substitute teacher for my 5th grade class in the early 80s at Buena Vista Elementary. I was just telling someone the other day that I use to call Mr Moreno on the phone to chat. He was always so kind. He will be truly missed.

Coach Moreno was my P.E. coach during both my Junior and Senior years at Carlsbad High. He had a very dry sense of humor but made all of us feel special during our games of gatorball, wrestling and basketball.
Nothing got past him as he'd watch us play or try to slack off.
He'd make us run and we'd joke around with him, but later found out that he was a great football player in his youth and could still probably outrun us all. He was a great man and he still pops into my...

Rudy Moreno was my Freshman football coach back in the late '70s. He also coached my brothers Greg and Chris in track. From his coaching we shared the same admiration and respect. And that respect grew more as we crossed paths later in life and we stop and chat about life. Rest in Peace Coach. I'm forever grateful for your motivating style of coaching and our subsequent friendship~
