Not sure what to say?

From the day after I arrived in Juneau Ak, 1952, Rudy was my mentor. He always told me when a job was open, and I had the ultimate respect for him. and his girlfriend, Judy I am not much younger than him, be seeing you soon

Rudy was my best friend from 1947-1951 When I moved to Skagway. Wish We had kept in closer touch. Great Guy.

The community of Juneau has lost one of our strongest proponents. His love for Juneau was clear throughout his life of service. I think fondly of him whenever we drive along Egan Drive in the summer, walk by Commercial Printing, participate in Litter Free day, or see Judy at the Yacht Club. He was a great neighbor on Coleman Drive and a good man who is missed. Our sympathy is with the whole family.

Rudy was truly a gentleman. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Judy and family, I am very sorry for your loss.

We loved reading the details of Rudy's remarkable life with you, Judy. Such a long, fruitful marriage full of life and laughter. We will miss his cheerful hellos, and Juneau will miss his love, enthusiasm and caring for our town, never expecting anything in return. Rest in peace, Rudy. Karleen & Roger Grummett

Rudy and Judy became friends the week we all arrived back in Juneau and shared myriad interests through the years. The flag project was just one of many contributions he made to the community. And he was a pretty good fisherman too!
We'll miss you Rudy.

Rudy was truly an amazing person. I enjoyed reading about his life and career. A life well lived with his beloved Judy by his side.

It was 1952 when my aunt Kay Hackwood who was a good friend of his mom, got me a job working on the Wilson shrimp fishing with Flip Lesher, and during this time I meant Rudy, and my ant Mary Jean Hackwood was a friend of Judy. It was Rudy who keep me in jobs. He always told me when he was leaving one, and Id go apply. I have the greatest respect for Rudy and he always got a spot in my heart.

Rudy was a good friend when I lived in Douglas what a honor is was for me to know him and work with him on many projects for the for the good of the area. Juneau has truly lost a truly a major asset .Judy to you and your family God bless.
