Not sure what to say?

Rudy was a good neighbor and coworker. He contributed a great deal to the young kids in the neigborhood and the community with his involvement in kids sports programs. Our kids were some of those benefited then and in later life. Our sympathies to the family.

I feel so fortunate and blessed to have known Rudy. He had so many wonderful attributes, but the one that sticks out to me the most was his ability to make people (specifically kids) feel special about who they were.

He always had a kind word, and was willing to give his time. I use to mow his lawn, and I remember the talks we had while sitting out by his pool. He didn't look at me like I was a kid with nothing to say. I could tell by his face that he was genuinly interested in...

One thing he did for me which I'll never forget, he got me in the
baseball league even though I wasn't old enough. All the guys in my own grade were starting their first year in Little League but my birthday isn't until the end of the summer so I was not eligible. He pulled some strings and got me in so I wouldn't feel left out. He was a great guy who loved other human beings. He expressed this regularly in his daily living.

RudyT was someone anyone would want to know. Anytime you can - later in life - recall an adult who impacted you as a child - that is special. I grew up on the block Rudy and his family lived on for many years. His consistently positive presence and warmth and genuine way about him made you feel really special. He impacted so many people's lives in a positive way and his giveback and effort to the community - and especially kids - was tremendous.
