Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened to just learn of Rufina's passing. She was my confirmation Godmother and her name will live on since I took that name as mine. I could never think of someone else taking that special place in my life at that time. Rufina and my mom were great friends (Helen Himmelwright- Frank Derkits' sister) and I would look forward to Rufina's bowling night. On that night she would always stop in before bowling and we would sit at the dining room table and talk! She was a great sponsor...

Rufina was always kind and encouraging to me and my siblings. I just learned of her passing this week (early February). I'm sorry to have missed her memorial service. If more people set the wonderful example she did for youngsters, the world would be a better place - fewer broken families, less youth crime, better students, more respect for others. Rufina respected her mom and dad. They were quiet people but they were noticed for their thoughtful and caring nature. Anna and Charlie...

RUFINA, I WAS SO SADDENED TO HEAR OF YOUR PASSING. I LEFT YOU A MESSAGE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND I WAS WONDERING WHY YOU HADNT RETURNED MY CALL. YOU WERE ALWAYS A BRIGHT SPOT AT NEW EASTWOOD. I'M SO GLAD TO HAVE MET YOU. REST IN PEACE.

My deepest condolences to Rufina´s family & friends! I worked at the courthouse when Rufina did but in Recorder of Deeds! It was more of a family back then! May she Rest In Peace forever!

Rufina and I worked together at Domestic Relations (DRS). My sister and I just loved her. My sister and I first worked at DRS as college students in the summer, and Rufina took us under her wing. I was later hired as a Hearing Officer, and Rufina trained me. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. We had many great conversations and times of laughter at DRS. She and Florence set great examples for many of us in how they lived and had good times.
The family will be in my thoughts...

Single Memorial Tree

Dear Rufina, I will miss our long phone calls, cards, stories about trips to Europe, our Betz family tree, watching David hosting WALN, making pierogies & hearing your voice & laughter. Wish we could have had you longer, but our love & memories will last forever. Love you, Suzy

Mydear Rufina, I was so happy to be with you at Morning Star (Moravian)..You were always so special, while working at Northampton County..you...with Domestic Relations, me at Criminal Division...Rest in Peace, my dear one.

During the summers of 1969 through 1972 I was employed in the Domestic Relations Office. I was a full time college student and this was my summer job. Rufina was my trainer, my support system, my go to person as questions arose and primarily my mentor. She did so with a watchful eye and attention to detail as well as her wonderful sense of humor when a situation called for it. She was always gracious and respectful to co workers as well as clients. May you rest in peace Rufina and thank you...
