Rufus Goodwin is missed by all at Spare Change News. He used to write regularly for the newspaper. He is one of the Angels now.

Although I knew Rufus very briefly through meeting him at Glover Landing, he left a very lasting impression with his wry humor and kindness.

I knew Rufus through our mutual contact with Spare Change News. He was a kind, generous man who gave of himself more than many others knew. His spirit was made of light.

Rufus will be missed terribly by the Boston-area poetry community.

I'm deeply saddened by Rufus's death. He was one of the stars of the Yale Class of 1965, and he continued to shine. We will miss him.

We republished a book by Rufus "Poems From 42nd Street" ( Ibbetson Street Press) Rufus was a big supporter of the Press. He felt it would be the next "City Lights."
We are not, but I always appreciative of the sentiment and his help.

Once, several years ago, when I was walking with two associates on 44th St., we chanced to come upon an apprehensive Rufus, hurrying toward us up the street from the opposite direction, who took me by the arm and shanghaied us all into the Algonquin, without explanation, but with the words, "Glad you could join me."
