Send FlowersRufus Johnson, 76, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka, MS. He was born April 16, 1932 to Marshall and Nellie Johnson. He was a Freewill Baptist, and enjoyed working in the garden and taking care of his animals. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 9 PM on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Cutshall Funeral Home - Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Frank Wilson. Pallbearers include John Lambert, Joshua Clingan, Dustin Mooney, Andy Aday, Jim Lambert, and Randy Aday. Dr. Al Flannery will serve as an honorary bearer. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia Johnson of Iuka, MS; 3 sisters – Elsie Lambert (M.C) of Booneville, MS; Pearlie Smith (Jimmy) of Tishomingo, MS; and Lorine Harville of Iuka, MS; 3 sisters-in-law – Minnie Sue Johnson and Libby Johnson, both of Iuka, MS, and Ruth Adams of Memphis, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Nellie Johnson; 3 brothers, James, John “Lee”, and Alvie Johnson; and 2 sisters, Beatrice Adcock and Louise Johnson.

hey unc i went to see ginner over the weekend. she was tickled to see me. she seems to be doing ok. i guess she has her good days and bad days. i know she is going to be ok. jess sees to her and im sure martha does to. jess said aunt pearlie was up there today.so you rest in between all those stories you daddy and uncle alvie have been sharing and know that you are missed. mary
