Not sure what to say?

Mr Otto was my homeroom teacher at Ann Arbor Senior High in 1967-68. I recall him as a kind and gentle man, a great lover of music, and it was thanks to him that I attended a recital by Virgil Fox. I'm delighted that he was able to live to such a great age -- and still making music all the while. Well Done, Mr. Otto, well done indeed.

Rupert was the first person we met at the Michigan Theater that was involved with the organ restoration. This was sometime in the early 1970s. His friendship led us to be part of the theater restoration project. We enjoyed hearing him play for many years.

Mr. Otto was one of my all time favorite teachers!!! I am so saddened to learn of his passing and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family. Rest in peace!

Rupert was always a gentleman with a kind word and a smile. We taught together at Pioneer.

Rupert and I had a special bond over the last 7 years. He taught me piano, how to laugh at life and that the young and old are not that different. I showed him the importance of exercising to keep both mind and body sharp. I was there to care for him yet, all said and done, it was the other way around. He became my grandpa and my very best friend. I am sincerely honored to have known him. I'll always miss you, Rupert.

As new residents of Chelsea in 2007, Chuck met Ruppert at Big Boy in the morning. From then on, Ruppert's fascinating personality was captivating. Ruppert opened up his home to us, played the organ for us and our friends and family. The likes of this man we will never see again. God rest his soul. Chuck & Carol Quandt.

Good by to an old friend and the best organ master ever. We will miss you, Rupert and thank you for all you have given to the music world. Ginny Ryan

The joy and love he gave to everyone will remain with me forever. He is now playing in heaven for the angels.

He was my home room teacher during my years at Pioneer High School during 1967 -1970. I remember him kindly.
