Proctor Funeral Home - Camden Obituary

Rush F. Hobbs, Jr., 66, of Russellville, AR passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. He was born November 23, 1953 in Forrest City, AR and was the son of Rush F. Hobbs, Sr. and Mary Helen Phillips Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his dad in 2011 and his mom in 2017. He was employed at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR and was married to Laura Hobbs. He is a 1972 graduate of Forrest City High School and a 1975 graduate of Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He was a member of the Watson Chapel Baptist Church.


Rush is survived by his wife Laura (and six cats), one brother, Thurman Hobbs and wife Donna of Maumelle, AR, one sister, Pamela Hobbs Jones and husband Larry of Forrest City, AR, and three very special nieces, Melissa Jones Wallace, Lindsey Jones Morris and Hallie Hobbs. He is also survived by two great nieces, Taylor Wallace and Melaina Morris and one great nephew, Tanner Wallace. Rush also had a host of very special cousins.


Rush was an avid Harley Motorcycle rider and was a member of the Toad Suck Chapter in Conway, AR. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 198 and Scottish Rite in Forrest City, AR. He also has a Real Estate License.


A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, AR. Bro. Todd Howard and Rev. Steve Mullens will officiate the service. Viewing will be at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The family asks that any memorials may be made to Watson Chapel Baptist Church or the charity of donors choice.
